MGM in January

MGM Home Entertainment have announced their UK Region 2 January line-up that kicks off with City of Ghosts on 12th January 2004 with a retail price of £19.99. Matt Dillon makes his directorial debut with this thriller set in a dangerous world of corruption and vice in Cambodia. Features on the DVD include a revealing audio commentary with Dillon discussing his directorial debut and the film’s original theatrical trailer.

Also arriving on 12th January 2004 are a series of budget titles all retailing at £12.99. Brannigan stars John Wayne and Richard Attenborough in an action packed thriller about a tough Chicago cop hunting down a dangerous mobster in London. Lone Wolf McQuade sees Chuck Norris take on David Carradine, Code of Silence also stars Chuck Norris while A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum is a comedy based on Stephen Sondheim's musical.

The budget titles continue with Clean Slate, a comedy starring Dana Carvey as a private eye suffering from total amnesia. Canadian Bacon is Michael Moore's 1995 political satire starring John Candy. Young Blood stars Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayze in a film about Ice Hockey, Blame it on Rio is a screwball romantic comedy starring Michael Caine and Demi Moore while Bio-Dome rounds out the budget titles and is a comedy starring Stephen Baldwin, Jack Black and Pauly Shore.
