Marvel Announce The Release Dates For Five New Films

The Marvel cinematic universe is due for expansion with the announcement of five new release dates, taking us up until 2019.

With the San Diego Comic Con on the horizon, Marvel are seemingly moving the hype machine into overdrive. The studio have recently released a batch of new set photos from next years Avengers: Age of Ultron, and will likely have an announcement ready for fans at the years biggest convention.

The new dates are as follows:

July 28th 2017
November 3rd 2017
July 6th 2018
November 2nd 2018
May 3rd 2019

These dates will follow a series of Marvel films that will be released through 2015 and 2016. This month see's the release of Guardians of The Galaxy, which will be followed by Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man on May 1st and July 17th 2015. While 2016 will see the release of a third Captain America film on May 6th, as well as a likely Doctor Strange movie on July 8th.

That leaves five new mystery movies as well as another release on May 5th 2017. Speculation is rife among fans as to what these films could be, but smart guesses would point to another Guardians of The Galaxy film as well Avengers 3 and a possible Thor 3. The other dates could be taken up by new standalone movies, with Black Widow and Black Panther having long been rumoured to be getting their own individual films.

Expect an announcement for these new films at the San Diego Comic Con, which runs from July 24th-27th.

Editors note: The release dates shown are for American audiences, and UK fans will likely get to see these films up to a week before our American cousins.
