Little Monsters trailer: Lupita Nyong’o goes zombie bashing

Lupita Nyong’o's performances have grown with each role she's undertaken, with Jordan Peele's Us really displaying the breadth of talent she has to offer. Nyong'o has appeared in straighter roles up until now, so Little Monsters is something a little different. There are some good moments in the trailer and it looks like a lot of stupid, horror-poking fun. Nyong'o looks right at home with the comedy and this will be one to keep any eye on when it hits cinemas later this year. Reviews seem to back that up at the moment, so here's hoping. Watch the first trailer for Little Monsters above to see more.

Little Monsters follows Dave, as washed-up musician who volunteers to chaperone his nephew’s kindergarten class field trip after taking a serious liking to the fearless schoolteacher, Miss Caroline. Dave’s intentions are complicated by the presence of the world’s most famous kids’ show personality and competition for Miss Caroline’s affections, Teddy McGiggle. One thing none of them bargained for, however, is a sudden zombie outbreak. Will Dave rise to the occasion and have a chance at Miss Caroline’s heart, or will zombies get there first?

Abe Forsythe writes and directs, with the supporting cast featuring Alexander England, Josh Gad and Kat Stewart.

Little Monsters arrives in UK cinemas on November 15.
