Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Monty Python’s Life of Brian (The Immaculate Edition) on 29th January 2008 priced at $24.96 SRP. Written by and starring the legendary British comedy troupe – Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin – Monty Python’s Life of Brian satirizes the hypocrites, zealots, charlatans and pompous officials that government and organized religion so often attract.

The digitally remastered Monty Python’s Life of Brian: The Immaculate Edition arrives with a wealth of bonus material: a newly-discovered feature-length recording of the first full-length read through of the Life of Brian script, offering unprecedented insight into the working methods of the Pythons; a newly-created hour-long documentary, “The Story Of Brian,” which examines the challenges the Pythons faced in creating such a revolutionary comedy; five digitally-enhanced deleted scenes; hilarious newly-illustrated radio spots promoting the theatrical release; audio commentaries with Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle and Terry Jones, as well as John Cleese and Michael Palin.
