Kontroll in April

ICA Projects have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Kontroll for 11th April 2005 priced at £19.99. A huge hit in Hungary, Kontroll is set entirely in Budapest’s gothic subway network, and recounts the thrilling misadventures of a motley gang of ticket inspectors – the ‘Kontroll’.

First time feature film director Nimroad Antal has created a propulsive black comedy that offers a fascinating tour of an unseen world and an atmospheric pulsating search for redemption. Kontroll was the most successful Hungarian film of 2003 and was selected for the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival.

The film is presented in Non-Anamorphic 1.85:1 Widescreen with Hungarian Stereo audio and forced English subtitles. Bonus features include the trailer and a behind-the-scenes featurette that runs for 16 minutes.
