Jurassic Park Details

It looks like we're going to be seeing Jurassic Park and its sequel The Lost World a day earlier than our friends across the Atlantic!

Universal have announced the Region 1 release of both discs on 10 October, I very much expect that the Region 2 releases will match the Region 1 Dolby Digital releases - as long as Universal don't cram on so many sountracks that we lose out.

I say Dolby Digital because Region 1 will also be getting DTS versions with far fewer extras. In the case of these movies, I feel the soundtrack is paramount and as such the reduction in extras is justified. However, the Dolby Digital releases look like they'll really stand out in the way of extras so the choice won't be an easy one. The fact that the Region 2 disc will be PAL makes the choice even harder!
