Jubilaeum Collection 2000AD

José Carreras, Montserrat Caballé and Cecilia Gasdia are three of the most famous artists appearing in Direct Video Distribution's Jubilaeum Collection 2000AD - a series of three discs featuring a series of concerts commissioned by Pope John Paul II and the Vatican.

Concerto Di Natale was filmed against the backdrop of Basilica di S. Ambrogio in Milan and features José Carreras and the Arturo Toscanini Orchestra conducted by David Gimené. The concert features a number of festive pieces along with some classical masterpieces by Bach, Handel and Schubert.

Christmas at the Duomo was filmed in the Duomo in Milan and features performances by Montserrat Caballé, Monserrat Marti and singer Al Bano Carrisi backed by the Nuova Polifonic Ambrosiana Choir and the Orchestra Lirica 'I Pomeriggi Musicali'.

Finally, Merry Christmas From Rome features a performance at the Basilica di S. Maria Degli Angeli in Rome. Conducted by Pablo Colino, baritone Renato Bruson, tenor Pietro Ballo, soprano Cecilia Gasdia and cellist Mstsislav Rostropovic are joined by the Cappella Giulia S. Peter Choir.

All three discs will feature DD5.1 sound and will retail for £19.99 when they're released on 4 December.
