Joker is coming back to cinemas from this Friday
It order to juice box office numbers a little further, it is becoming standard practice to roll an already hugely successful film back out to cinemas. In the wake of picking up 11 Oscar nominations on Monday, Warner Bros. have announced that Joker will be returning to select cinemas from this Friday.
Joker will land in over 750 theatres across North America from Friday, January 17 through to January 24, although it's unlikely this will happen in any other territory.
President of Domestic Distribution for Warner Bros., Jeff Goldstein, said: "With the continued interest in Joker as a result of its recognition during this exciting awards season, we wanted to give audiences the chance to see the film on the big screen, whether for the first time or again."
To date, Joker has grossed £1,068,915,502 at the box office, making it the 32nd highest-grossing movie off all-time, and will looking to push that figure up a little more. The film is already available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, DVD and VOD in the States, with the film due to arrive in the UK on those formats from February 10.
