Invisible Waves and Bright Future in November

Tartan Video have announced the UK DVD release of two films starring Tadanobu Asano (Ichi the Killer) this November. Arriving on 12th November 2007 is Invisible Waves, a comic noir that reunites the actor with Thai director Pen-Ek Ratanaruang and cinematographer Chris Doyle after they worked together on Last Life in the Universe.

Also out the same day is director Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Bright Future, a surreal voyage into social fantasy which couples Asano with Jo Odagiri (Shinobi) at the core of this dysfunctional buddy-buddy movie, which tries to untangle a bright future for a younger generation caught in the tentacles of a dehumanising society.

Both titles feature anamorphic widescreen presentations, DD2.0, DD5.1 and DTS 5.1 Surround audio and English subtitles. Extras are TBC.

Tartan is set to release more Kurosawa titles in the coming months, which include Cure, Séance and the latest in the J-horror series, Retribution.
