Home Theatre PC

You may remember a story a while back concerning the Home Theatre PC. Basically, it's a fully featured PC taylored for use as part of a home-cinema set up and features both DVD playback and video recording capability. Further information on this can be found in our earlier story, here.

Basically, the machine consists of:

Intel Celeron 533Mhz Pentium III processor
64MB RAM
20Gb Hard Drive
DVD-ROM Drive
MP3 capabilities
Built-in 56bps fax/modem
Built-in network facilities
Connections for TV or Monitor
3D PCI sound and 4 channel speaker output
64 bit 6D Graphics card

I now have a nice picture of it - and it does look like a fairly attractive piece of kit. Click on the image on the right for a bigger picture. I am hoping to get my hands on one of these systems for a review soon - I'm very interested in seeing how it performs as both a PC and a DVD player...
