Hellsing Ultimate - Changes to R2 Release

Manga Entertainment have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Hellsing Ultimate Volume 1 on 13th October 2008 priced at £14.99 RRP. This retelling of the manga series created by Kouta Hiran is described as a much closer adaptation of the Hirano's original work.

Originally announced as a two-disc set featuring the first two episodes of the OVA, Manga have since been forced to revise those plans and will now issue each OVA as a single-volume priced at £14.99 RRP. In the official update they note that "Manga Entertainment would like to apologise for any disappointment this may cause fans. Unfortunately Manga do not have consent to release both volumes together".

Volume 1 features include:

Hellsing Ultimate Volume 2 has been scheduled for 29th December 2008. Priced at £14.99 RRP, extras include:

  • Interview with Taliesin Jaffe, Patrick Seitz and Josh Phillips (Luke and Jan Valenture English Voiceovers) (24mins)
