Halo Legends (R1/US BD) in February - Specs updated

Warner Home Video have announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Halo Legends on 9th February 2010. This 7 episode anthology of 10-15 minute length each, explores the origin and historical events of the HALO universe, and various characters inhabiting the world. Like Animatrix and Batman Gotham Knight, each of the 8 episodes will be created by a separate prominent Japanese anime producer.

Available on DVD ($19.98 SRP), Special Edition DVD ($29.98 SRP) and Blu-ray Disc ($34.99 SRP), features are outlined below...

1-Disc DVD

  • Anamorphic Widescreen
  • English and Japanese DD5.1 Surround
  • English, French, Spanish and Japanese subtitles
  • Commentary – Directors Frank O’Connor and Joseph Chou discuss each episode
  • Halo Reach Trailer

2-Disc DVD - As above plus a bonus disc with the following additional extras:
  • The Making of Halo Legends – An introduction to Halo Legends followed by a making of segment for each episode
  • Halo: The Story So Far – Overview of Halo universe up until the end of Halo 3 (narrated by Frank O’Connor)

Blu-ray Disc
  • 1080P 1.78:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
  • English, French, Spanish and Japanese DD5.1 Surround
  • English SDH, French, Spanish and Japanese subtitles
