Guava Island teaser trailer: Watch Donald Glover's new film starring Rihanna for free

If Donald Glover wasn’t so damn brilliant it would be easy to be jealous. Producer, actor, writer, director, rapper, singer and stand-up comedian - it seems there isn’t much the man can’t do. Guava Island is produced by Glover - and runs for an hour - and his star-pulling power has managed to bring Rihanna on-board. Glover describes the film as a cross between Prince’s Purple Rain and Fernando Meirelle’s cult classic City of God. The film will be available to stream for free on Amazon Prime this Saturday from 8am for 18 hours. It will also steam live on Coachella’s YouTube stream, as well as on the network’s Twitch channel. Watch a brief clip of Guava Island above go get a taster.

Guava Island is a tropical thriller that casts Donald Glover as a musician with designs on pulling off a scheme to rob his way into the good life, which quickly gets him in over his head.

Hiro Murai (who has worked with Glover on every series of Atlanta and the This Is America video). Donald’s brother Stephen has written the script, with Rihanna, Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie also in the cast.

You can watch Guava Island on Amazon Prime, Coachella’s YouTube channel and on Amazon’s Twitch channel from this Saturday at 8am for 18 hours.
