Gracie (R1) in September

New Line Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Gracie on 18th September 2007 priced at $27.95 SRP. Based on true events from the lives of the Shue family, including producer and co-star Andrew Shue (TV’s Melrose Place, The Rainmaker) and his sister and co-star, actress Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas, The Karate Kid), Gracie is an inspirational film about a teenage girl (Carly Schroeder, TV’s Lizzie McGuire, Firewall) who, after the death of her brother, decides to petition the school board to allow her to play on the all-boys high school varsity soccer team. Undeterred by the obstacles she faces from her family and community, Gracie finds the inner strength she never knew she had and perseveres to change everyone’s beliefs of what she is capable of – including herself. The film also stars Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friends Wedding, About Schmidt) and is directed by Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth, TV’s Deadwood).
