Disney's Academy Award nominee Frozen won big at the 41st Annie Awards, after scooping Best Animated Feature after facing competition from Dreamworks, Studio Ghibli and Pixar.

The Annie Awards, recognising the best feature films and shorts of the animated world, also saw Japanese legend Hayao Miyazaki, WETA Digital and Industrial Light and Magic rewarded for their achievements.

The 2014 recipients of The Windsor McCay Award, one of the highest honours given to an individual to celebrate their achievements in animation, were Akira creator Katsuhiro Otomo, visual effects producer Phil Tippett and renowned director Steven Spielburg.
