Fox R1 DVD Updates on Major Titles

We have some further details and sadly some delays on titles we previously covered in this News Story, plus one new title announcement for you...

From Hell will be released on May 14th with a retail price of $29.98. Dubbed as a limited Directors Edition this 2-disc set will feature a 2:35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen Transfer with both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 Soundtracks while the extra features comprise of: Audio Commentary with The Hughes Brothers; 4 Featurettes - "A View from Hell", "Jack the Ripper: 6 Degrees of Separation", "Behind-the-scenes with Hughes Brothers", and "A Tour of White Chapel"; Alternate Ending; 23 Deleted Scenes; Extensive Making-of Documentary; Still Galleries; Interactive Games; Trailers & TV Spots; Storyboard-To-Film Feature; DVD-ROM; and Easter Eggs.

Shallow Hal will now be released on June 4th with a retail price of $27.98. Presented in 1:85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 Sound the disc will contain the following extra features: Audio commentary with the Farrelly Brothers, 11 deleted scenes, 4 featurettes: "HBO special", "Reel Comedy, TV special", "Seeing Through the Layers", "In the Deep End with Shallow Hal", music video "Wall in Your Heart" by Shelby Lynne.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Complete Second Season will be released on June 11th with the fantastic retail price of $59.95 and will see all 22-episodes presented in their original 4:3 Aspect Ratio with Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround Sound. Extra features are: Audio commentary for the episodes "Reptile Boy", "What's My Line?" (parts 1 and 2), and "Innocence" by writer and director David Greenwalt, co-writer Marti Moxom, and writer and director Joss Whedon, respectively; interviews with Whedon on "Surprise", "Innocence", "Passion", "I Only Have Eyes For You" and "Becoming"; three featurettes on "Designing Buffy", "A Buffy Bestiary" and "Beauty and Beasts"; still gallery on the set designs and monsters and additional still photo galleries totalling 150 stills in all; scripts for "Reptile Boy", "What's My Line?" and "Innocence"; 2 UK TV spots; 6 domestic TV spots; "Angel" video trailer; season 2 "Buffy" DVD trailer; and an updated cast bios.

The Simpsons: Season 2 has now been delayed to July 9th. The 4-disc box set will still retail for a very reasonable $49.95 and contains all 22-episodes presented in their original 4:3 Aspect Ratio with both Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 Soundtracks. Extra features are: Audio Commentary on all episodes, interviews with James L. Brooks, and Matt Groening, Bart on the American Music Awards (with commentary), "Do the Bartman" video (with optional commentary), "Deep Deep Trouble" video (with optional commentary), "Do the Bartman" director's cut video, David Silverman on the creation of an episode, licensing and merchandising review, Emmy Awards presentation, 3 Butterfinger commercials, foreign language clips, still photos (easter eggs), gallery (Barbara Bush letters, animation, magazine covers), early drawings, season 1 DVD trailer.
