Final Sicario: Day of the Soldado trailer: Del Toro and Brolin play it dirty
There's a lot of guns and explosions in the last trailer for Sicario: Day of the Soldado and you have to hope the sequel isn't planning on being simply bigger and louder than the first. You can't help but question why this film even exists in the first place and while Del Toro and Brolin will be as dependable as always, without Villeneuve at the helm and no Emily Blunt involved it may struggle to catch fire. Watch the third, and final, trailer for Sicario: Day of the Soldado above.
In the drug war, there are no rules – and as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) calls on the mysterious Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), whose family was murdered by a cartel kingpin, to escalate the war in nefarious ways. Alejandro kidnaps the kingpin’s daughter to inflame the conflict – but when the girl is seen as collateral damage, her fate will come between the two men as they question everything they are fighting for.
Stefano Sollima (TV's Gomorrah) directs, Taylor Sheridan returns to pen the script and Isabela Moner, Jeffrey Donovan, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Shea Whigham and Catherine Keener all feature in the supporting cast.
Sicario: Day of the Soldado smuggles into UK cinemas on June 29th 2018.
