Final Hellboy trailer: David Harbour brings the horror

The last look at Hellboy before it hits cinemas this Thursday is more of an R-rated sizzle reel giving us blood, guts and gore. The film itself will be rated 15 but the action in the clips above is really going for it. Director Neil Marshall is no stranger to horror and he’s having fun with it here. Lionsgate have been very selective with their previews ahead of the film’s release and the small number of reviews that will come out cannot be published until late the night before release. Early screenings last December were not well received and the film was then delayed four months - possibly to do some reshoots, although nothing has been said officially. Take a look above to see what Hellboy has in store this week.

Hellboy is back, and he’s on fire. From the pages of Mike Mignola’s seminal work, this action-packed story sees the legendary half-demon superhero called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue, a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.

Neil Marshall directs, with David Harbour taking on the title role, and the rest of the cast features Ian McShane, Milla Jovovich, Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim, Sophie Okonedo and Penelope Mitchell.

Hellboy is scheduled for an April 11th release in the UK.
