Family Guy: The Freakin' Sweet Collection (R2) in April
Fox Home Entertainment have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Family Guy: The Freakin' Sweet Collection for 25th April 2005 priced at £12.99. This new release includes five hand-picked episodes by creator Seth McFarlane and is released just in time for Season Four. Initially cancelled after Season Three, cult favourite Family Guy was re-instated due to a mass public outcry, attesting to the popularity of Family Guy’s irreverent brand of surreal comedy.
In When You Wish Upon a Weinstein’, a hereto unaired episode, bumbling Dad Peter is led to believe that his financial hardships could disappear if he could only find a Jewish person to take care of them! There follows a hilarious quest to convert hefty teenage son Chris to Judaism. Road to Rhode Island, a spoof of the classic Road to Morocco, centres on caustic family dog Brian and the infamous and maniacal talking baby Stewie. Stranded in Florida after they miss their flight they face an adventurous and unforgettable journey home.
In To Love and Die in Dixie, The Griffin family experience a bizarre relocation when they enter the witness protection program, and I am Peter Hear Me Roar sees Peter drastically identify with his feminine side! After some accidental sexual harassment incidences at work, Peter eventually attempts to breastfeed Stewie in his feminine mindset. Lastly the notorious Lethal Weapons rounds up the collection with The Griffins in a full on family brawl.
The Freakin' Sweet Collection’s special features include commentary by Seth MacFarlane on four of the five episodes featured, as well as on the upcoming series. Fans get a sneak peak into Season Four, plus a look at Seth MacFarlane’s latest brainchild American Dad.
