El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie trailer: Netflix offer a surprise first look at our return to Albuquerque

The Sex and the City gang were way ahead of the curve years ago with their movie sequel to a TV show, but more recently we've had Deadwood, Downton Abbey (coming soon), The Sopranos (The Many Saints of Newark), Baywatch and, of course, a Breaking Bad film. It has been kept under heavy wraps, with Bob Odenkirk coming out a couple of days ago to announce the film had been shot without anyone’s knowledge, and even diehard fans have very little idea of what it is about and the cast members returning. It seems even Netflix didn’t expect this reveal, with the name and trailer being released accidentally (or not).

Of course, since the show ended we've been able to embellish ourselves in the slower paced and equally as fascinating Better Call Saul, which has managed to extend the Breaking Bad world on its own terms, and heading into its fifth season next year it will come close to entering into the world of Walter and Jessie. Although it was an AMC show, Netflix won the rights to stream the film first, so it will be arriving on their platform before AMC can show it to their audience. But enough of the talk, and hit play about to get a first look at the Breaking Bad film.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie reunites fans with Jesse Pinkman. In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.

Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have written the script, with hopefully many of the usual faces returning, including Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Jonathan Banks, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito and more.

You can watch Breaking Bad on Netflix from October 11.
