Driven to Kill (R1/US BD) in May
Fox Home Entertainment have announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Driven to Kill on 19th May 2009. Steven Seagal’s latest sees him portray a reformed Russian “Mafioso” turned crime novelist named Ruslan who returns home to discover his estranged daughter is marrying the son of his age-old nemesis – East Coast Russian mafia leader Mikhail Arban. Ruslan’s dark criminal past takes him to the wedding celebration where he finds his ex-wife is gunned down in cold blood and his daughter fighting for her life. Enraged and hungry for justice, Ruslan returns to his criminal past and the life he once knew to get the ultimate revenge.
Priced at $22.98 SRP on DVD and $29.99 SRP on Blu-ray Disc, both are barebones discs. The film is presented in anamorphic widescreen with English DD5.1 Surround audio on DVD and 1080P Widescreen with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio on Blu-ray. The BD also has English and Spanish subtitles (and most likely the DVD will too, but they’re not listed on the press release).
