Dark Waters trailer: Mark Ruffalo takes on the might of DuPont
Based on the true story of environmental defence attorney Robert Bilott, director Todd Haynes' new film, Dark Waters, tells the story of how he took on the might on one of the world's largest chemical companies in DuPont. It's the sort of big button issue film that will have hopes of muscling in on the awards conversation and given its environmental angle (a little reminiscent of Erin Brockovich) and having Anne Hathaway on-board, it could stand an outside chance. Watch the trailer for Dark Waters above to see what's what.
Inspired by a shocking true story, a tenacious attorney uncovers a dark secret that connects a growing number of unexplained deaths due to one of the world's largest corporations. In the process, he risks everything – his future, his family, and his own life - to expose the truth.
Haynes directs with Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, Bill Camp,Victor Garber, Mare Winningham, William Jackson Harper and Bill Pullman.
Dark Waters opens in the US on November 22 and in the UK on January 24.
