Daniel Isn't Real trailer: Sasha Lane deals with an evil Patrick Schwarzenegger

FrightFest is almost upon us once again, which means a slew of horror trailers will start crawling out of the woodwork along with it. The trailer for Daniel isn't Real has been out for a few weeks but with it's UK premiere on the way this weekend, we thought now was a good time to show it. The film is an 80s-inspired horror-thriller that has a John Carpenter/Mandy-esque feel to it, which perhaps isn't too surprising at the trailer pitches it as being "from the the producers of Mandy". It isn't too clear about the plot or story, which is not always a bad thing, and it has a nice atmospheric style. Reviews have been pretty strong so far, so hit play above to see the trailer for Daniel Isn't Real.

A troubled college freshman, Luke, suffers a violent family trauma and resurrects his childhood imaginary friend Daniel to help him cope.

Adam Egypt Mortimer directs, with writer Brian DeLeeuw adapting his own book, 'In This Way I Was Saved'. Miles Robbins takes the lead role of Luke, with Patrick Schwarzenegger starring as his alter-ego Daniel and Sasha Lane also stars.

Daniel Isn't Real plays at FrightFest this Sunday, before getting a limited release in the US on December 6.
