Criterion announces Sisters extras
Criterion have revealed more details about their special edition of Brian De Palma's 1973 classic Sisters.
First of all, the transfer will be anamorphic - there's no word about the sound, but Criterion are usually purist about sticking to the original format, which suggests it'll be mono.
Secondly, there are rather more extras than you'd expect given that it falls into their lower price bracket of $29.99.
These include a 1973 Village Voice essay by De Palma on the subject of working with legendary composer Bernard Herrmann, an interview from the same year with De Palma on the making of the film, a copy of the famous (and sadly all too topical) 1966 Life magazine article about Siamese twins that inspired De Palma in the first place, and what promises to be an enormous memorabilia gallery, with "hundreds" of production, publicity and behind-the-scenes stills.
