I thought it was about time that I updated you all on some of our plans for the coming months. First of all you will have noticed an increase in our review output with another couple of excellent additions to the review team - Alexander Larman and Dave Foster.
Alexander is covering quite a range of titles as you'll have already seen and seems to be speeding ahead with reviews at quite a rate! At the moment, Dave is focussing quite heavily on Japanese anime releases such as Grave of the Fireflies and his latest review My Neighbours the Yamadas. I think you'll agree that they're both doing a fine job as are the rest of the team!
I'm currently working on a few things - first up is a new hardware review, this time of the Panasonic DVD-RA71 which appears at first glance to be a stunning DVD player capable of both DVD-Video and DVD-Audio playback. I'm currently putting the machine through its paces and will shortly be getting my hands on some DVD-Audio discs to test out that aspect of the machine. I'm pretty sure it'll be getting full marks for the DVD-Video playback going on what I've seen so far.
Finally, we're considering expanding the site to cover cinema reviews. This is currently in the preliminary planning stages but I'm hoping to get this side of things up and running as quickly as possible. Once this is established I have a number of other ideas for making the site appeal to a wider audience.
And that's about it for now - that is how things stand at the moment. It looks like I'm going to have a busy few months ahead of me, but if all goes to plan the future is looking very bright for DVD Times.
