Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things in August

Anchor Bay UK have announced the Region 2 DVD release of Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things for 22nd August 2005 priced at £14.99. A darkly comic pastiche of George A. Romero's "Night Of The Living Dead", CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS is a bona fide zombie cult classic in its own right. Although rarely seen in the UK, the film has become one of the zombie movie genre's most highly regarded entries by those horror fans lucky enough to have witnessed it in all its gory, camp and kitsch glory. Written and directed by Bob Clark (Turk 182; A Christmas Story; Porky's; Murder By Decree; Black Christmas) and starring Alan Ormsby (who also created the film's special make-up effects and collaborated on the script), it is a low-budget gem that has inspired countless horror filmmakers over the years. A remake of CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS is currently in production, again written and directed by Bob Clark.

Features include widescreen presentation (1.85:1 enhanced for widescreen TVs), audio commentary by Alan Ormsby, film notes, stills gallery, trailer, biographies, subtitles for the hard of hearing, stereo 2.0 plus optional 5.1 and DTS audio.
