Check out the films in Official Competition at this year's London Film Festival

Ahead of the BFI announcing the full line-up of films appearing at this year's London Film Fesitval later this week, the ten features vying for the Best Film Award in Official Competition have just been announced.

16 countries are represented across the producers and co-producers, with 60% of the films from a female director or co-director. The ten films in competition are:

Honey Boy, dir. Alma Har’el
La Llorona, dir. Jayro Bustamante
Lingua Franca, dir. Isabel Sandoval
Moffie, dir. Oliver Hermanus
Monos, dir. Alejandro Landes
The Other Lamb, dir. Małgorzata Szumowska
The Perfect Candidate, dir. Haifaa Al Mansour
Rose Plays Julie, dir. Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor
Saint Maud, dir. Rose Glass

The 63rd London Film Festival runs from Wednesday 2 October to Sunday 13 October 2019.
