Cats & Dogs

Following yesterday’s Final Fantasy announcement, Cats & Dogs is another example of a movie receiving a DVD release very shortly after its cinema run. Warner have announced the release date for the DVD, which opened at UK cinemas on the 3rd of August, as the 23rd of October. The disc will retail at $26.95 and will feature an anamorphic 1.85:1 transfer, English and French Dolby 5.1 surround tracks, two audio commentaries, “The Making of Cats & Dogs” HBO special, a trivia game, a still gallery with storyboard-to-screen comparison, filmographies and trailers.

In homes across the planet there is a secret war being raged between two great armies – the cats and the dogs. When the cats attempt to destroy a new vaccine that could prevent all human allergies to dogs, a young pup must guard the vaccine. Lawrence Guterman’s hit comedy, which mixes live action and animation, features an all-star cast which includes Jeff Goldblum (Independence Day), Elizabeth Perkins (Big) and the voices of Tobey Maguire (Pleasantville), Alec Baldwin (State and Main), Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise), Joe Pantoliano (The Matrix), Michael Clarke Duncan (The Whole Nine Yards) and Charlton Heston (The Ten Commandments).

Thanks for DVD File for the disc information.
