The trio of Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie is pretty formidable in any film, and here they take on the roles of Megyn Kelly, Gretchen Carlson and Kayla Pospisil in Bombshell, which looks at the scandal that took down one-time Fox News king Roger Ailes, played by John Lithgow . Starting out as CEO, he eventually became chairman of in 2005 and oversaw a culture of bigotry and sexual harassment that empowered the men working there. A lawsuit from former Fox News anchor Carlson was quickly followed by several more allegations before Alies resigned in 2016 - albeit with a $40 million pay-off. Bombshell is pitching itself directly at the award season and given its liberal leanings will definitely play well with voters across the board.
