Bohemian Rhapsody teaser trailer: Rami Malek is a Killer Queen

The production for the Bohemian Rhapsody film has been fairly troubled, what with Sacha Baron Cohen leaving the film early on and directer Bryan Singer being fired for unprofessional conduct. Guitarist Bryan May and drummer Roger Taylor have been heavily involved in what looks like a straight forward nuts-and-bolts biog going by the trailer. With Queen members so heavily involved its going to gloss over any troubled waters and it remains to be seen how 'factual' it will be. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.

Dexter Fletcher is now directing the project with Anthony McCarten (The Theory of Everything, Darkest Hour) on script duties. Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Allen Leach, Tom Hollander and Mike Myers all star in the cast.

Bohemian Rhapsody arrives in UK cinemas on October 24th 2018.
