Blue State (R1) in February
MGM Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Blue State on 12th February 2008 priced at $26.98 SRP. Making its premiere at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival, Blue State stars Breckin Meyer as the impassioned liberal, John Logue, who finds himself in a state of the blues after watching Bush’s victorious re-election and must now face up to a promise he made on the eve of election… to pick up and move to Canada. After interviewing a number of potential co-travellers for his road trip, he meets Chloe Hamon (Anna Paquin) who seems like the perfect travel companion: quirky, agreeable …and attractive. But after a stop along the way at the home of John’s radical parents, shocking revelations about Chloe’s secret past and a series of misguided events at the “Marry-a-Canadian” headquarters, John and Chloe develop an intimate bond as they are forced to question the true meaning of their convictions, identities and values.
A barebones release, the disc includes both widescreen and full screen presentations with English DD5.1 Surround audio and English subtitles.
