Blaxpoitation and Hammer in August from Warner

Warner Home Video have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Blaxpoitation classics Cleopatra Jones and its follow-up Cleopatra Jones And The Casino Of Gold for 2nd August 2004 with a retail price of £12.99 each. Allowing you to have the fully authentic Seventies cinema experience as Enter The Dragon's double bill partner from its original 1973 theatrical release arrives on DVD. Government special agent Cleopatra kicks drug-dealer ass with a mean left hook and a nifty trigger finger: this seriously sexy, afro sporting sister is a force to be reckoned with.

With their over-the-top fight scenes, fast cars and super-cool seventies gear, Cleopatra Jones and follow-up Cleopatra Jones And The Casino Of Gold characterise the Blaxploitation era; in the Cleopatra Jones movies, the ladies lead in a rare example of non-stop girl power. The battle between good and evil, cop and crack dealer doesn't get much more stylish than this.

On the same day East meets West in an eclectic assortment of horror-fying fight sequences when The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires, starring Peter Cushing, is released on DVD. Hammer horror is at its most entertaining when Vampires get wasted in ruthless assaults featuring intricate choreography and vivid cinematography.

All three titles carry a retail price of £12.99 each and are presented in 2.40:1 Anamorphic Widescreen with the original Mono soundtracks. There are no bonus features.
