Bird Box trailer: Sandra Bullock flees an unseen force

Earlier this year with had A Quiet Place based around the concept of not making a sound, and Bird Box is about a family forced to take a two-day journey blindfolded to avoid some sort of alien force that is wiping out the human race. Sounds like a good idea, but it all comes down to how it's executed. A Quiet Place had a great concept but failed to deliver. Lights Out also looked like a smart idea but it became a blunt instrument very quickly. Let's hope this can be different. Check out the trailer for Bird Box above to see more.

When a mysterious force decimates the world’s population, only one thing is certain: if you see it, you take your life.  Facing the unknown, Malorie finds love, hope and a new beginning only for it to unravel.  Now she must flee with her two children down a treacherous river to the one place left that may offer sanctuary. But to survive, they'll have to undertake the perilous two-day journey blindfolded.

Susanne Bier (In a Better World, The Night Manager) directs, with the supporting cast featuring Trevante Rhodes, Sarah Paulson, Rosa Salazar, Jacki Weaver and John Malkovich.

Bird Box opens on Netflix and select cinemas on December 21st 2018.
