Billie Eilish debuts her Bond theme for No Time To Die
In the world of music 2019 belonged to Billie Eilish, who went on to sweep up five Grammys last month. She looks set to keep that going in 2020 by providing the theme for one of the year’s biggest films and she debuted No Time To Die online overnight.
The 18-year-old singer-songwriter is the youngest artist to write and perform a Bond theme in the history of the franchise. Hans Zimmer and Matt Dunkley provide orchestral arrangements for the song, with Johnny Marr on guitar. The song was produced by Eilish’s brother Finneas along with Stephen Lipson. She will be in the UK next week to perform the song live for the first time at the BRIT Awards.
No Time to Die will see Daniel Craig star as 007 for the fifth and final time. Rami Malek, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Lashana Lynch, Jeffrey Wright, Lea Seydoux, Billy Magnussen. and Cristoph Waltz round out the cast.
Cary Fukunaga is directing, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and Scott Z.Burns on script duties.
No Time to Die opens in UK cinemas on April 2 and in the US on April 8.
