Beowulf (R1) in February
Paramount Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Beowulf on 26th February 2008. In the age of heroes comes the mightiest warrior of them all, Beowulf. After destroying the overpowering demon Grendel, he incurs the undying wrath of the beast’s ruthlessly seductive mother who will use any means possible to ensure revenge. The ensuing epic battle throughout the ages, immortalizing the name Beowulf. Director Robert Zemeckis tells the oldest epic tale in the English language with the most modern technology, advancing the cinematic forum through the magic of digitally enhanced live action.
Available in separate Theatrical Cut and Director’s Cut editions (both with a running time of 114mins), extras on the Theatrical Cut are limited to “A Hero's Journey: The Making of Beowulf”, while the Director’s Cut gets that plus a whole lot more…
