Battle Royale LE (UK) in December

Arrow Video have revealed details for their UK DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Battle Royale (Limited Edition) which is currently expected to arrive on 13th December 2010. This cult Japanese movie from the master of 70s Yakuza thrillers Kinji Fukasaku returns to UK DVD (£24.99 RRP) and debuts on UK Blu-ray (£29.99 RRP) in Limited Edition sets (10,000 units for the Blu-ray, 5000 units for the DVD set).

On DVD the main feature (both versions) is presented in anamorphic widescreen with Japanese DD2.0 Stereo, Japanese DD5.1 and optional English subtitles.

On Blu-ray the main feature (both versions) is presented in 1080p with Japanese 2.0 Stereo DTS, Japanese 5.1 DTS-HD MA and optional English subtitles. Extras on Discs 1 & 2 are presented in 720p.

Disc 3 on both sets is a standard DVD.

The Blu-ray (discs 1 & 2) are coded for Region A and B, and most likely region free (I've confirmed it plays on Region A and B players, but I don't personally have the setup to confirm Region C).
