Anna and the Apocalypse trailer: Deck the halls with zombie bodies
The zombie sub-genre has been in desperate need of a something new to give it some life and Anna and the Apocalypse does it with a song in its (dead) heart. You don't come across a Christmas-based, zombie-musical-horror every day of the week, so at least it won't be confused with anything else released this year. The film first appeared almost a year ago at Fantastic Fest and has slowly made its way around the festival circuit with a release date for the UK now set. Check out the trailer for Anna and the Apocalypse above to get a taste.
A zombie apocalypse threatens the sleepy town of Little Haven - at Christmas - forcing Anna and her friends to fight, slash and sing their way to survival, facing the undead in a desperate race to reach their loved ones. But they soon discover that no one is safe in this new world, and with civilization falling apart around them, the only people they can truly rely on are each other.
John McPhail is directing, with a cast featuring Ella Hunt, Malcolm Cumming, Sarah Swire, Ben Wiggins, Marli Siu and Paul Kaye.
Anna and the Apocalypse arrives in UK cinemas on November 30th 2018.
