Andy Serkis's Star Wars role revealed...

Despite being the main voice in the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, until now we had no idea who Andy Serkis was actually playing in the latest visit to a galaxy far, far away. Wonder no longer - Lucasfilm and Disney have unveiled via that he is "Supreme Leader Snoke" and a photo released shows the actor in full motion capture get-up.

Current theories suggest he's the successor to the Emperor; leading the 'First Order' in their fight back against the Jedi. And the photo above does suggest a very Palpatine-like pose. There are theories that Snook is just a pseudonym and his real name has yet to be announced...

The Force Awakens hits UK cinemas on 16th December.
