A Head Full of Dreams trailer: A Coldplay documentary 20 years in the making
Shot over 20 years, A Head Full of Dreams charts the rise of Coldplay from their humble indie rock beginnings to becoming multi-million selling superstars. Coldplay aren't everyone's cup of tea given how middle of the road their music can be but it might make for interesting viewing. The film will be directed by Mat Whitecross who also made Oasis: Supersonic, a documentary that was better than expected thanks to the dry humour of the Gallagher brothers. Chris Martin? It's over to you. Watch the trailer for A Head Full of Dreams above to see more.
The film offers an in-depth and intimate portrait of the band’s rise from the back rooms of Camden pubs to selling out stadiums across the planet. The director met the four friends at college in 1996, before they’d even formed the band. From the very first rehearsal in a cramped student bedroom, Mat has been there to capture the music and the relationships on tape.
A Head Full of Dreams will be in cinemas for one night only on November 14th, before streaming on Amazon Prime.
