The Prodigy trailer: Another kid falls victim to an evil spirit
Unfortunately this isn't a documentary about the group and a haunted Keith Flint, but a horror film instead. Possessed kids are ten to a dozen by now, but when done right they can still really strike a nerve. The Prodigy looks like it has a touch of the genre classics about it and the scare at the end of the trailer is pretty effective. Hopefully it hasn't handed out the best part of the film in the teaser, which, by the way, is a pretty long one at over two-and-a-half minutes. Take a look for yourself above with the trailer for The Prodigy.
Sarah is a mother whose young son Miles’ disturbing behaviour signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family’s safety, Sarah must grapple with her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles in favor of investigating what – or who – is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality remains blurry.
Nicholas McCarthy is directing, with the cast starring Taylor Schilling, Jackson Robert Scotts, Colm Feore, and Peter Mooney.
There is no UK release date as of yet, but The Prodigy is released in early February 2019 in the States.
