It’s was inevitable that horror classics would get the makeover treatment, with Halloween due in just over a week, It already heading towards a sequel next year and there’s even a sequel of The Shining (based on Stephen King's 2013 novel) called Doctor Sleep due in 2020. Dr. Louis Creed, who, after relocating with his wife Rachel and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer direct, with the cast featuring Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, Jeté Laurence, twins Hugo and Lucas Lavoie as Gage and John Lithgow.
Pet Semetary opens in UK cinemas on April 5th 2019.
