Day of the Dead and Manhunter from Anchor Bay

Anchor Bay Home Entertainment US have announced the Region 1 DVD releases of two very different horror classics. First up is their second attempt with Michael Mann's Manhunter that will be release on July 8th in a new 2-disc restored Director's Edition that has been overseen by Mann. Utilising a new high-definition master this release will feature an extended and fully director-approved new cut of the film presented in 2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen with Dolby Digital Mono audio. New bonus material includes an audio commentary with director Michael Mann, the original screenplay, deleted and alternate scenes, multiple still galleries and the trailer. Retail is $19.95.

Next up on August 19th is the long awaited release of Day of the Dead that judging by these specs could well be the definitive version. Details are as follows...
