Sorry to Bother You UK trailer: Boots Riley's film prepares for its UK release

More on London Film Festival 2018

Boots Riley's Sorry to Bother You has been one of the best reviewed films of the year in the US, but film fans in the UK were left disappointed when the director said it wouldn't be getting international distribution. Thankfully, that travesty has now be rectified and the film was recently announced as playing at this year's London Film Festival, along with an official UK release date. You can now watch the UK trailer for Sorry to Bother You in anticipation of it arriving on these isles.

In an alternate reality of present-day Oakland, Calif., telemarketer Cassius Green finds himself in a macabre universe after he discovers a magical key that leads to material glory. As Green's career begins to take off, his friends and co-workers organize a protest against corporate oppression. Cassius soon falls under the spell of Steve Lift, a cocaine-snorting CEO who offers him a salary beyond his wildest dreams.

Lakeith Stanfield stars as Cassius, with the supporting cast featuring David Cross (as the white guy voice), Tessa Thompson as Cassius' girlfriend Detroit, and Armie Hammer as Steve Lift, CEO of the company. Patton Oswalt, Danny Glover, Steven Yeun, Jermaine Fowler, Omari Hardwick and Terry Crews also feature.

Sorry to Bother You opens in UK cinemas on December 7th 2018.

There are still tickets left for one of the shows at LFF and you can buy tickets on the BFI website.
