New First Man trailer: Another small step towards Oscar glory?
While social media cried itself to sleep over the non-appearance of a flag in a Hollywood film, the Neil Armstrong biopic and potential Oscar nominee, First Man, prepares for its worldwide release in a few weeks. This is likely to be the final trailer (it also has plenty of flags) and we get to hear the iconic line spoken by Armstrong as he stepped down onto the moon (although Armstrong insisted until the day he died he actually said "That's one small step for a man..."). Anyway, check out the final trailer for First Man above.
First Man, the story of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon, focuses on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost—on Armstrong and on the nation—of one of the most dangerous missions in history.
Damien Chazelle is back in the directors with with the supporting cast featuring Claire Foy, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Jon Bernthal, Jason Clarke and Ethan Embry.
First Man flies into UK cinemas on October 12th 2018.
