Mid90s trailer: Jonah Hill takes his directorial bow

We've seen Jonah Hill move from broad comedy into drama and he is now taken seriously as an actor following a series of well-judged performances, and the release of Mid90s sees him take on the role of writer-director for the first time. You don't need to think too far outside the box about when the film is set and it looks like the decade is slowly starting to take prominence over the 80s which has had quite the run in popular culture. Check out the trailer for Mid90s above to see what you think.

Mid90s follows Stevie, a thirteen-year-old in 90s-era LA who spends his summer navigating between his troubled home life and a group of new friends that he meets at a Motor Avenue skate shop.

The cast features Katherine Waterston, Lucas Hedges, Sunny Suljic and Jerrod Carmichael.

Mid90s has a mid-October release date in the US, but nothing yet for the UK has been announced.
