The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales trailer: A new film from the creators of Ernest and Celestine
Animation fans will recall a charming hand-drawn French film by the name of Ernest and Celestine, which was released back in 2012. The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales sees one of the two directors, Benjamin Renner, return to adapt his own comic books Le grand méchant renard and Un bébé à livrer. The tone is far more slapstick than his last film but it looks like a lot of fun nonetheless. Watch the trailer for The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales above to see what you make of it.
This is an adventure about a gang of animal misfits. Told through beautiful hand drawn animation, the story unfolds around these lovable countryside creatures as they try (and fail), to fulfil their traditional roles in the farm and the forest.
A lazy stork leaves the delivery of a baby in the care of a rabbit, a pig and a duck. A big, bad fox tries to live up to his reputation whilst he unwittingly adopts three confused baby chicks and in the film's final tale, the animals embark on a hair brained scheme to replace Father Christmas.
Benjamin Renner and Patrick Imbert are directing, with a voice cast featuring Guillaume Darnault, Damien Witecka and Kamel Abdessadok.
The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales comes to UK cinemas on August 3rd 2018.
