Brain on Fire trailer: Chloe Grace Moretz may be going insane

The Netflix titles keep on coming and next up is a film that hasn't seen the light of day since premièring at TIFF in 2016. Reviews of Brain on Fire were pretty savage (the title surely doesn't help) and it stars Chloe Grace Moretz who continues to step into more adult-themed territory. It's based on the true story of Susannah Cahalan who began hearing voices, losing her memory and having seizures with doctors clueless as to what was causing it. Watch the trailer for Netflix's Brain on Fire above.

Fresh out of journalism school and ready to embark on adult life, Susannah (Moretz) already seemed to have it all: her dream job at the New York Post, supportive co-workers, a devoted boyfriend, and a loving family. Then, almost overnight, this ingénue went from one of the Post’s most reliable reporters to an unstable, paranoid shell of her former self. Plagued by auditory hallucinations and memory loss, doctors dismissed her condition with a diagnosis of partying too hard and stress. But as her condition worsened, the stakes grew higher, and the race to find an answer became a matter of life and death.

Directed by Gerard Barrett it also features Thomas Mann, Richard Armitage, Carrie-Anne Moss, Tyler Perry and Jenny Slate in the supporting cast.

Brain on Fire hits Netflix on June 22nd 2018.
