Unfriended: Dark Web trailer: The horror sequel delves into the creepy side of the internet
There are a few films coming out this year set entirely on computer screens and Unfriended: Dark Web is a sequel-of-sorts to the 2014 horror Unfriended which followed the same premise. The Blumhouse film arrived at SXSW earlier in the year and received mixed reviews, with the story moving away from the supernatural elements of the original. Check out the trailer above for Unfriended: Dark Web if this sounds like your kind of thing.
Unfolding in real-time the film follows a 20-something who finds a cache of hidden files on his new laptop, ensuring he and his friends are unwittingly thrust into the depths of the dark web. They soon discover someone has been watching their every move and will go to unimaginable lengths to protect the dark web.
Stephen Susco (The Grudge 1&2) is in the directors chair with the cast featuring Rebecca Rittenhouse, Chelsea Alden and Betty Gabriel.
Unfriended: Dark Web appears on UK cinema screens on August 10th 2018.
