Halloween reboot trailer: Jamie Lee Curtis faces off against Michael Myers once again
Blumhouse's track record has been patchy at best but to their credit they have steadfastly remained committed to horror and having picked up the rights to Halloween they are rebooting the series with Jamie Lee Curtis returning as Laurie Strode, the iconic role that kicked off her career back in 1978. Nick Castle also returns to the role of Michael Myers aka The Shape. Like Suspiria, this is a risky reboot to take on given its importance to the genre and going by the first trailer it looks very much in line with a lot of Blumhouse productions and doesn't look too inspiring. Make up your own mind and check out the first trailer for the rebooted Halloween above right now.
Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
David Gordon Green directs and also worked on the screenplay with Danny McBride (go figure) and original director and auteur John Carpenter serves as a creative consultant and is also providing the score. The cast also features Virginia Gardner, Andi Matichak, Judy Greer and Will Patton.
Halloween will begin stalking UK cinemas on October 19th 2018.
