Mortal Engines trailer: Peter Jackson's sci-fi fantasy gets its first full trailer
Produced by Peter Jackson, Mortal Engines has been in the works for quite some time and with the first images revealed a while ago anticipation over the first trailer of this adaptation of Philip Reeve's books has been building for some time. Well, the wait is over as Universal have just released the first trailer for Mortal Engines and you can check it out right now.
Thousands of years after civilization was destroyed by a cataclysmic event, humankind has adapted and a new way of living has evolved. Gigantic moving cities now roam the Earth, ruthlessly preying upon smaller traction towns. Tom Natsworthy (Robert Sheehan)—who hails from a Lower Tier of the great traction city of London—finds himself fighting for his own survival after he encounters the dangerous fugitive Hester Shaw (Hera Hilmar). Two opposites, whose paths should never have crossed, forge an unlikely alliance that is destined to change the course of the future.
Christian Rivers debuts with this monster blockbuster, with Hugo Weaving, Jihae, Ronan Raftery, Leila George, Patrick Malahide and Stephen Lang all starring in the cast.
Mortal Engines is in UK cinemas from December 14th
